Setting up your Group's Gift Registry Account takes less then five minutes. Watch this video for an in-depth overview of how to set up your account.
There are two account type options to choose from:
- Church or Organization Gift Registry: With a Church or Organization Gift Registry Account, you can create multiple gift lists.
- Individual Gift Registry: With an Individual Gift Registry Account you can only create only one single list.
- Church or Organization Gift Registry: With a Church or Organization Gift Registry Account, you can create multiple gift lists.
- Individual Gift Registry: With an Individual Gift Registry Account you can only create only one single list.
The Chapter field on the Account Creation Form can be used to help uniquely identify your church or organization. This is helpful if gift givers search for your gift list on myregistry.com and multiple gift lists are displayed. For example, there are many churches named “Hope Church”, so there might be more than one Gift List titled “Hope Church VBS”. We recommend placing your full church or organization address to make sure your gift givers are finding your correct list.
The Group's Gift Registry Dashboard (powered by MyRegistry.com) is where you will manage all aspects of your gift registry account. Watch the video to learn more about the features and functions of your dashboard.
Add items to your Group's Gift Registry by clicking the "Add to Gift Registry" link anywhere you see it while shopping on group.com. Watch this video for an in-depth look at adding items to your gift registry.
Add items to your gift registry from:
- Search results pages
- Product category pages
- Product description pages
Create as many gift lists as you want on your Church or Organization account by creating a new list from your Group's Gift Registry Dashboard (powered by MyRegistry.com). Watch this video for an in-depth look at how to create multiple gift lists.

Once you share your gift list with community members, they can make purchases just as they would on any e-commerce store. They’ll add items from your specific gift list to their cart and then check out. Watch the video for a full overview of how purchases are made from a gift list.
After a community member purchases an item or items, from your gift list, the funds get stored in your "Store Fund Tracker" for that specific gift list. You can find the “Store Fund Tracker” within your Group's Gift Registry Dashboard. If you have available funds on a particular gift list, you can use those funds to generate a gift certificate to use on group.com or over the phone by calling 1-800-447-1070. Your funds do not expire and you receive the full value of the transactions that are made (no taxes or fees are taken out).

Generating a gift certificate can be done in your Group's Gift Registry Dashboard under the "Store Fund Tracker" associated with the gift list you want to generate a certificate from. Watch this video for an in-depth tutorial on how to generate a gift certificate from the "Store Fund Tracker".
Any gift certificate generated from available funds will not expire.
No. You can create multiple gift certificates for different amounts as long as your gift list has funds available.
You can use the gift certificate at group.com or by calling 1-800-447-1070.
- There are no fees
- There is no expiration date
- The certificate is non-returnable
- The gift certificate can be used on multiple orders until the balance is $0
- A gift certificate is a payment method, not a discount, so it may be used in addition to coupons or promos on the same order
- The gift certificate should be treated as cash; it is not replaceable if lost or stolen
- The certificate cannot be exchanged for cash or check
- The certificate cannot be used to purchase additional gift certificates
- The certificate cannot be applied to outstanding account balances
- Gift certificates may be used on either physical or download products available to purchase on group.com. They cannot be used on purchases for Dig In, LIVE, custom T-shirts, individual background checks (may be used for SW membership)
The gift purchaser automatically receives a thank you email after completing their purchase that includes information on the item(s) they purchased. If you would like to send an additional “thank you” or follow-up, you can do that by downloading a list of email addresses from within your Group's Gift Registry Dashboard. The system currently cannot collect funds on behalf of Group Canada and utilize the gift certificate functionality. We're sorry for the inconvenience for our Canadian customers.
