After finding a picture of a Black Madonna that belonged to her mother with "Tiburon, South Carolina" written on the back, Lily escapes from her home and ventures out with Rosaleen to find the truth. Lily and Rosaleen are taken in by three beekeeping sisters. What they learn from these sisters and experience in their home is beyond imagination. What is so special about Tiburon, South Carolina?
