Book clubs are a great opportunity to bring women together and have some fun!
In each SNAP book club download youll find a short summary of the plot of the book, a recipe for a food that ties to a theme or character from the book, ideas for decorations or other additions, plus discussion questions and Scriptures that relate to the story. This is not a download of the book. A Pulitzer Prize winning novel by Harper Lee, To Kill a Mockingbird uses a woman's childhood recollections to tell the story of life in a small Southern town. The narrative begins with Scout as a 6-year-old and ends about three years later, but the period in between is filled with her observations about an adult world that she finds complicated, perplexing, and sometimes unfair.
Hard lessons include a mysterious recluse, an elderly drug addict, a narrow-minded school teacher, poverty-stricken families, town hypocrites, and even hurtful family members who actually mean well. Scout's world is really shaken in 1935, however, when Atticus agrees to defend a black man in court--against the desire of the townspeople. Will justice be served?
